My Boulder!

Clay, Video

The rock I’ve carried my whole life has been taken from me. The pressure I’ve lived under was stolen from my grasps, what will I do with these empty hands? Shall I carry these instead? Now these are gone too! My legs? They’ve taken me this far, I’m sure they can be a burden. Gone as well! Where else in myself can I find a burden?

These past months I’ve been placing weird restrictions on myself – some large limits have been lifted as well, and I don’t know how to act. After living a majority of my life with limitations, I’ve found myself creating new limits for myself that aren’t really based on anything. I’ve found comfort in the uncomfortable, and refuse the peace I’ve spent years to find. I’ve only operated with a weight in my shoulders, and I’m unsure of how to live without it. I pray I don’t find another boulder even if I already miss the last one.
